We have stores filled with baby clothes and $500 strollers and car seats and cribs and rockers. “Pshhh,” Samoans would say. There is none of that on The Rock; instead, people make due with what they have. For example, the other day I was riding along on the bus when I saw an ingenious woman. Rather than a stroller, just take the wheelbarrow from behind the shed and that’ll do. Yes, I saw a woman pushing her 3 toddlers in a wheelbarrow. Only in Samoa...
